TREATMENTS

Implants are titanium additions that serve as artificial roots of the missing tooth. They are placed where the tooth was lost.

On this artificial root, the implant, a crown is placed to replace the lost tooth.

Thanks to implants we can eat, smile and talk with the same confidence as with our own teeth.

They are also used to correct closing gaps between front teeth without using orthodontics.

Advantages of porcelain veneers:

  • Improve the aesthetics apperance of our teeth.

  • Resistance to wear out and abrasion is much higher than with aesthetis fillings.

  • They are very biocompatible.

  • They conserve the colour and brightness.

  • They don't retain plaque nor get stained over time.

  • They are strongly bonded to the enamel.

CROWNS AND FIXED BRIDGES WITHOUT METAL

Advantages over conventional metal-ceramic crowns:

  • Improved aesthetics.

  • Best quality porcelain.

  • Excellent adaptation to the tooth.

  • No irritating metals.

What are porcelain veneers?

Porcelain veneers are ceramic sheets of varying thickness that have the shape of the teeth they will be adhered to. They have a high and natural aesthetics and adhere to the external faces of the teeth correcting defects in the form of teeth and in colour (spots or stains) that cannot be whitened. They are widely used in patients with grey teeth that are a consequence of antibiotics formely used in children called tetracyclines.

We recommend a visit to our practice from 3 years of age, because although the development of the mouth of your children may seem normal, very often we detect problems of bones and teeth in early stages, and in this way we can plan the treatment in advance.

It is the speciality of dentistry that studies the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the gums and the tissues supporting the teeth (periodontium).

Today periodontal treatment is one of the most requested treatments due to the large number of problems related to bleeding gums, halitosis (bad breath) tooth mobility. That not only makes this one oral health problem but a SOCIAL problem, the patient cannot socialize in a friendly and safe way.

PYORRHEA is an infectious disease caused by bacterias and cause:

  • Destruction of the tissues supporting the teeth (periodontium).

  • Tooth mobility.

  • Bleeding gums.

  • Halitosis (bad breath).

  • Increased sensitivity of the teeth (to cold and heat).

  • Open spaces between teeth.

Periodontal disease must be diagnosed by both the patient symptoms (bleeding, halitosis) and radiography that can show bone loss or infections.

This periodontal disease not only affects teeth that in the end have to be extracted, but also a significant loss of the surrounding bone, so it can be imposible to place the implants to replace the missing teeth.

TREATMENT

  • A-Profilaxis and profesional cleaning to eliminate the bacterial placque.

  • Scale and rootplaning and polish on the root surface, to avoid the placque retention,

  • Eliminate the periodontal pockets with a periodontal surgery.

  • Once finished the treatment (fases A and B) we should make a check-up monthly until the patient will colaborate and have a good hygiene.

  • Every 6 months the patient should have a scale –polish and rootplaning.

Removable prosthesis or classic dentures.
